Cara's Big Decision

Shoshanna Withers has co-starred in such films as Weekend Deadaway , appeared in Rabbit Hole and starred in the series Street Behavior and Sapphic. She has also produced several films and has been behind the camera as a cinematographer.

In addition to her film work, Shoshanna is also a highly sought-after model.

Shoshanna has a film out that is getting critical acclaim. It is a short crime drama film titled Alliance.

The film centers on Cara. She is in prison. She is a notorious jewel thief. But she got nabbed by savvy F.BI. agent Jane. The film plays out in an interrogation room at the prison.

Jane wants to use Cara's expertise to catch another jewel thief. And after that, help track down and capture some of Chicago's most wanted criminals. Cara blows it off until Jane adds something to sweeten the pot.

Emily Sue Bengston played Jane, the F.B.I. agent. She co-starred in the horror films Mutilator 2, Weekend Deadaway and Puppet Master: Doktor Death. Emily was also the co-director, co-executive producer and co-screenwriter for this film. Dylan Rugh was the other co-screenwriter for the film.

Shoshanna Withers played Cara. I listed some of her screen credits at the start of this review. In addition to the films I mentioned, Shoshanna has appeared in episodes of Bored To Death, Gossip Girl and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. She was also the executive producer for this film.

Alex Melkoumov played a corrections officer who observe the meeting between Cara and Emily.

Eddie Lebron was the cinematographer, co-director and editor. He was the cinematographer for the noir comedy Chalk and the drama short film Quico.

Jacque Coqueran was the first assistant director. He has appeared in a handful of short films and was the assistant director for one of those.

The plot of Alliance is not exactly new. Films such as 48 Hours have done it well. Two great television shows about using criminals to help catch other criminals were It Takes A Thief starring Robert Wagner and White Collar starring Matt Bomer.

What makes Alliance stack up to the films and shows I mentioned is the acting by both Shoshanna and Emily. The F.B.I. agent tries to get a few digs in on Cara. But Cara, with some crassness and sarcastic wit, brings it right back at her. But when the offer is sweetened, sort of, you can see the hurt and torment on Cara's face and in her voice.

Alliance recently had it's premiere at the Big Apple Film Festival. It is anticipated that the film will be featured at future film festivals.

The film is the first in a series. A second episode has been filmed and may be shown at upcoming film festivals. The ultimate goal is to turn Alliance into a feature film.

Alliance has also been offered a nonexclusive distribution deal.

There isn't a website for Alliance but you can find out a bit more about Shoshanna Withers at https://www.shoshannawithers.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/actressShoshannaWithers/#
